Effective July 1, 2008 Southampton township - Cumberland county has implement the Southampton Township trash collection ordinance, #2008-02, dated April 14, 2008.

 

      Businesses with commercial trash collections will not be included in this program.

 

     This ordinance provides for Interstate Waste Services (IWS) to perform trash collection services for all residential customers within Southampton Township - Cumberland County.

 

In addition, the following Cumberland County Townships have entered into agreements for trash collection with the Southampton Township Trash Collection Agency.  Interstate Wast Services will collect trash within these townships.

 

     Effective Jan 1, 2009 South Newton Township - Cumberland County has entered into an agreement with Southampton Township for trash collection within South Newton Township.

 

     Effective May 1, 2009 Shippensburg Township - Cumberland County has entered into an agreement with Southampton Township for trash collection within Shippensburg Township.

 

     Effective Jan 1, 2010 Penn Township Cumberland County has entered into an agreement with Southampton Township for trash collection within Penn Township

 

      All Cumberland County residents of Penn Township, Shippensburg Township, Southampton Township and South Newton Township must sign up for trash collection at the Southampton Township Trash Collection Office.

 

       Residents of the above listed townships can obtain a sign up form at the Southampton Township office or download it from this web site. The completed form must be returned to the township office.
